The Audi Framework is a digital platform created to house architectural standards and specifications for the Audi of America architecture program. The Framework delivers content tailored by audience, in a branded environment, via a streamlined and proprietary digital platform.
We worked closely with the architects at CDR Studio to understand the program they’ve developed for Audi over the last decade, and to rethink the best modes of organizing and distributing content. Prior to the Framework, design standards and specifications lived in what we fondly call ‘the pile’ — hundreds of documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, and links. Transitioning to a centralized and fully digital distribution model required a total restructuring of this content. We identified seven core challenges (inconsistent information, outdated materials, disparate formats, lack of branding, information delays, unknown user experience, limited exposure) and seven corresponding solutions (standardized information, real-time updates, consistent digital formats, showcases Audi brand standards, knowledge sharing tools, measurable interaction & analytics, broadcast updates & successes).
Audi’s rigorous design standards are reflected across the Audi brand, from automotive design to communications to buildings. With this new platform, Audi elevates the way they deliver design.
